1. Scope
PassCivic is a study app for the German naturalisation test ("Einbürgerungstest" / "Test Leben in Deutschland"). By using the app you accept these terms.
2. Not an official app
PassCivic is not an official app of the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) and is not affiliated with any government body. The questions and the images used inside questions come from the officially published question catalogue (as of 07.05.2025); the explanations and the software are ours.
3. No guarantee, no legal advice
We prepare you to the best of our knowledge but cannot guarantee that you will pass. The official catalogue may change; the currently valid official version always prevails. Nothing in the app is legal advice on naturalisation, residence or citizenship.
4. Free tier and Premium
Core features are free (one mock test per day and a limited number of practice questions). Premium unlocks unlimited mock tests, the full question catalogue, all explanations, the mistake book and statistics.
5. Subscription
Premium is sold as a subscription through Google Play (weekly, monthly, yearly, each with a free trial). Billing runs through your Google account. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel; cancel any time in your Google Play subscription settings, effective at the end of the current period. Refunds follow Google Play policy.
6. Licence
You receive a simple, non-transferable right to use the app privately. Extracting, copying or redistributing our explanations, texts, design or software is not permitted without consent.
7. Liability
We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence and under mandatory product liability law. For ordinary negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual duties, limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damage.
8. Changes
We may adapt these terms when the app or the legal situation changes. The current version is always on this page.
